I updated the program yesterday no problems.

I recorded Wuthering Heights last night which was one of the rare programs transmitted on ITV HD .

The picture and sound appear to be ok when editing on Video Redo Alpha but when I tried to play the original and edited version on GBPVR and Windows 7 media player the sound is silent.

I repeated the process on BBC HD this morning and the sound was fine.

I am confused why Video Redo can "see" and play the AC3 sound track which is then "missing" from the playback programs.

I am using thw Win 7 H264 codecs.

Apparently the Windows 7 AC3 decoder isn't available to non Microsoft apps, and I couldn't find a workaround. Installing AC3Filter or ffdshow is still necessary.

My point is that BBCHD works fine but ITV HD has no sound on GBPVR or media center

Installed VLC on my Windows 7 build and the sound worked.

The ITV HD sound track must be different from the BBC HD tracks which work ok.

If you can do a short recording on ITV HD, and make it available for me to download, I'll check it out.

Thanks Sub

Few seconds cut with Videor Redo attached.

Please note that VLC refuses to play the uncut version.

Programs on ITV are infrequent and the "test card is silent".

You'll need to upload the clip to a free download service like megaupload.com

My ITV HD recordings play fine - but I've not recording anything since England v Andorra so they could well have changed something. Digitalspy talks of them and the BBC changing the HD feeds in various ways. Think there's something on this evening though if you get a chance to record it!

I'm suprised that the OP got any players to play ITV HD recordings, due to the incorrect PID flagging in the TS - Sub got it working in GBPVR and I still think that GBPVR was the first app that could record and play ITV HD - but I get only sound playing in other media players like media player or MPC-HC. I'm just happy that GBPVR can record and play-back ITV-HD. I am still on 1.3.11 though, so I may hold of upgrading for now to see how this pans-out.
