Further to this: Tonight after the boss got home I lost use of the laptop & went back to editing the skin on my PC (the NMT server for Weather2) & found now when I close GB & re-start it & then go back into Weather2 it doesn't do fresh update each time........maybe because it has now done a number of automatic updates during the day do you think??

Earlier I asked you to try <MVPLoadPluginsEarlier>true</MVPLoadPluginsEarlier> Perhaps you still have it true, which would explain this.

There may still be a problem on the NMT as mine just rebooted for no apparent reason (something it doesn't normally do) after sitting on the screensaver for over an hour, but prior to that I had been modifying the skin to go with Blue-Retro-SHV so I can't produce meaningful logs at the moment. Tomorrow I will fire it up early with the blue skin & see if it does it again.

EDIT: I just had a look in the weather2\profile directory & I think it re-booted the NMT at the time it ran an automatic update.

Something else I have noticed (I think different with the version I am running now) is every time I enter it after restarting GB (which I have to do a lot modifying the skin) it now does an update every time. I notice there is a weather.xml in each profile does it check the age of this on starting & if newer than xxx not update?



No worries, when I beta test I report anything odd/out of the ordinary I see

The update everytime is related to the Forecast screen showing 0 days. I think it is set to zero, so it will update everytime. I'll get you a build that fixes this

I'd have to see some logs to see why it didn't update. But your build is not right either... I'll post here another build you can try.

Oops..... good memory Batman I had forgotten, it is now set to false.

@scb147 Testing the new build it crashed on the initial update (I think when getting the animated satellite map for Masterton) for the other maps I have selected not animated.

It drops back to the main menu when I try to view the Masterton satellite map.

It crashes when I select the update button from the menu.

It still has 0 days forecast (but that could be because if fails to finish updating)

Update: Complete wipe of Weather2, re-install 1.0.0.0, update dlls & WizUiHelper.dll to latest versions. Update completed successfully on launch this time but it crashed when I selected forecast. Logs & image attached.

I believe this may be related to the WizUiHelper.dll...

Can you go back to the previous version of WizUiHelper.dll and see if this goes away?

Yes, this is in WizUiHelper. I will take a look and provide an update.

Unfortunately I was a bit like a flea in a fit yesterday with all I had to get done & while I did roll WizUiHelper.dll back when testing my first (update) problem I didn't get round to it for the second (forecast) problem. Yes a roll back of WizUiHelper.dll cured that problem, I will see what happens on the NMT during the day & post the results later tonight.
