With everybody's help here in the forum, I finally figured out how to change codec's but I still have a recording/playback problem. When I am recording it looks like the image is torn from the upper right to the lower left. It does not happen all the time, usually every 10 to 15 seconds it shifts for a second then goes back to normall. Any suggestions???

Thanks for all the great help and advise from all forum members and moderators

I have the same problem myself. I'm thinking it's a codec issue. I have an ATI Radeon card installed.

Any suggestions?

I changed my video card back to my GeForce 4 4600, now everything works great. The only problem I have now is the display does not go full screen, there is a 1 inch border around the edges of my TV. I read somewhere is these forums the the Matrox card is the best at displaying on a TV?? I also noticed that when viewing my old recordings the tearing was not there so I am guessing that it was a display problem and not a recording problem

Thanks

Don

I have an nVidia, too. It doesn't do the overscan natually the way the ATI does.

Use the TV settings to zoom in. Sucks that it's semetrical, but you can fill screen before you chop off anything important on the sides of the desktop.
