Hello,

Finally I have bought a new PCI tuner with MPEG2 hardware encoder. See the one in the title. But I can't get it working. Help is needed.
I want to select the analogue channels. The card is recognized for analogue selection. But I do not see any channel in the listing. It is also not possible to select EPG, I tried to get the mc2xml as is explained in the wiki listings. But I cant find the mcsxml.dat file with xmltv.xml which subsequently cant be selected in the browser set up.
I am able to tune through the channels via tuning assistant. But how do I get those channels in GBPVR?
Is there a logic way to do the config for this tuner card. I get lost when I try to follow the installation in the wiki.

You have to tell GB-PVR what channels are available. You do that by setting up your xmltv EPG source, then hitting 'update epg' to pull in the list of channels.

Yes I tried to get that EPG. As I mentioned it is also not possible to select EPG, I tried to get the mc2xml as is explained in the wiki listings. But I cant find the mcsxml.dat file with xmltv.xml in it, which subsequently can't be selected in the browser set up.
Is there another easy way to get EPG going?

I think you need to run mc2xml though the command line for the first time. You will need to specify your location informaiton and any other items in the command line the first time, it will then create a .dat file after that

I runned the mc2xml in the cmd line in the following dir "C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\EPG. It says it is reading mx2ml.dat file but I can,t find it anywhere. It is not vissible in the EPG directory either? Where might it be?

Sorry, I've never used mc2xml so cant answer this. This isnt a GB-PVR problem.

Well what can I do? I bought an expensive card with MPEG2 hardware encoder and now I need an EPG to set up. I think it should be equal for any card with analogue tv. So if u know another way to get EPG in GBPVR so I will be able to get channels in the config would be nice.

I'm sure you'll be able to get it to go, I'm just saying I know nothing about mc2xml, and its not a GB-PVR problem. Its a problem with some 3rd party utility you're trying to use to make an xmltv file.

If you cant get mc2xml working, then I'm sure there are other xmltv utilities you can use. Google search of 'belgium xmltv' turns up several items. Maybe read http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/XmlTv#Belgium for some alternative xmltv utilities.
