Well something I dont understand , is the improvement for windows 7 . The GBPVR10407 I upgraded to ,doesnt work at all with win7 . Infact the old one was perfect . Scanned 10 times before it found all channels . The tv part is useless to watch . I uninstalled the old one and deleted the folder and then tried again whith better success , now it found the channels quickly but the video it still very much like hiccups to watch. What went wrong ?

Post a detailed description, along with logs, in the support forum and I'll take a look.

hello guys,
first of all big grats! I love when new GBPVR comes out Did a fresh install of this new ver with linked vcredist_x86 and all worked like a charm. Have 2 quick questions: 1) Quote:- added logic to auto correct the tuning request of any already mapped channels at the end of each scan. Basically if your broadcaster had changed any audio/video pids, you can go into the config app and hit the 'rescan' button, then any channel mappings that match the same frequency and program number will be automatically updated to have the correct PIDs/PMT/PCR etc. does it mean that GBPVR re-scan will find a "moved" (previously mapped) channel on different frequency if it has the same PID or no? or it works only for same freq when only PID has been changed... 2) I am confused about vcredist packages. it seems there is 4 of them officially from MS: VCREDIST_x86 2005 SP1 VCREDIST_x64 2005 SP1 VCREDIST_x86 2008 VCREDIST_x64 2008 plus the one (x86 ZIP) linked in this thread. what is different about it that it actually works with latest GBPVR and the official ones do not (tried them and no go)? also when running x64 system we still need x86 package installed, right? x64 is not needed at all? thanks for clarification!

Quote:2)Microsoft pushed out a critical security for VS2005 SP1 at the end of June this year, and all software built with VS2005 SP1 after that date required the newer version of vcredist linked at the beginning of this thread. Quote:also when running x64 system we still need x86 package installed, right? x64 is not needed at all?Correct.

Just installed 1.4.7 - first time GBPVR user
Q: Is it normal for channel changes to take a long time on a DVB-T card? It takes 12 seconds from selecting watch a program from EPG guide for channel to appear It then takes 2-3 seconds more to work out the aspect ratio It then takes 8 seconds or so to change channel using PgUp or selecting + on screen. Seems darn slow to me (C2D@3.2ghz, 4gb Ram, Pinnacle 3010ix)

Methanoid,
Turn on "live preview mode" in config if you haven not already done that. This will get you the fastest channel change you can probably get. That being said, the times your reporting are rather slow. Do a search for threads on the topic; I know I've seen one or two before. You might find some techniques that will help.
