I have had an Avermedia and Hauppauge card in my box for a couple years... they've been working fine. However, my avermedia card now only gets static. I can hear sounds, and make out some of the picture, but the picture is skewed.

The screen looks like this:

What's causing that?

Looks like a bad signal. If you have a splitter, try replacing it. It may have gone bad.

Tried that... I took the cable from the one that did work, and put it in the one that didn't... still same flipping. Could the card have gone bad? It's over 3 years old I think. Maybe time for a dual tuner card from Hauppauge. But that's $$$ tho.

Based on your description I'd have to guess the card has gone bad. Lots of analog components in the tuner section, plenty of stuff to degrade over time.

Sounds like a tuner failure to me too. Sorry.
