I have a few suggestions for the digital channel mapping.

Add a button for the "Digital cable helper" if I want to kick it off again
I'd like to have a few checkbox options for "Digital Channels found during shan" are viewed, such as:

[X] Show encrypted channels
[X] Show already mapped channels
[X] Don't flush scan cache on ReScan

If you toggle the options, the listbox should keep changing its' results. Whatever options you check off, would be checked off the next time.

Typically, I would prefer not to see the encrypted channels nor the channels I've already mapped.

I'd like to add a request for

[X] Sort on channel name

with 1000+ satellite channels to map it would make life easier.

After years of fiddling with the slider bar to move up and down the drop down list of scanned channels ... I, today, remembered, that I could find an entry in the list by typing its first letter.

To map BBC1 in the drop down list ... click on the arrow so that the list drops down and then press B repeatedly to get to the channel and then press Enter.

Saved me hours ... wish I'd thought of it yonks ago.

I wish you'd told me about it yonks ago Big Grin I wouldn't have dreamed of trying that one. There was me, importing the cache file to XL, sorting it and re-exporting it.....

Wish I'd known this too before, all those hours spent manually editing the cache! Thanks Graham, next time for a scan will try...

Cheers

I'll put my vote to sorting channels in the mapping dropdown alphabetically. I recently setup up GB-PVR for use with a freesat tuner card and it took forever to map the channels.

I'll confess to knowing this trick only because all lists in Windows work like that (try it in the Explorer window).

But my life changed (well, not completely you understand) when I found the BDA Channel Migration tool which means you only ever need to map channels once, and can then save and restore those settings to as many tuners as you like.
