Occasionally I will watch a live sporting event by way of letting it record for about 30 minutes and then start playback while it is still recording. Sometimes I will catch up to the recording in progress with time remaining in the event. Instead of pausing it I usually exit out of GBPVR and do something else on the computer and then come back to watch the still recording event another 30 minutes later. It would be helpful to have a resume button there so I dont have to skip ahead an hour or two to get back to where I left off. Not sure if this is just a missing button on the Slick Skin or something that has not been implemented yet.

if you re-play it from the tv guide while recording, it'll show you the resume prompt...
from recordings, it wont...
not sure about from video library...

I think it might be a 1.4.7 feature - it now gives a resume option when viewing from the "recordings" screen. I like to switch between college football games that are happening at the same time and this feature is awesome.

I don't get this option in 1.4.7. I was wanting this feature with the Grand Prix on Sunday as it's pain to skip 2 hours of prog to get back to where I was in the race! What happens if you select the prog from the tv guide and you have two tuners? Will it give you live TV (so half way through the prog) or the recording so you can start from the beginning?

I am using version 1.4.7.

Here's what I do. I go to pending recordings and open a football game that is being recorded and watch it for 20 minutes. When I catch up to the live broadcast then I exit out of the recording and open a different recording (being recorded using multi-record on QAM) and watch it for 20 minutes until it catches up to the live feed. Then when I go back to recording one and select to play it I receive a prompting that asks if I want to start at the beginning or resume where I already was...

I watch on-going recordings from the pending recordings list. However I don't get the option to resume when I stop and come back late. Like in the Grand Prix, I stop watching, come back later but it's still recording, so pending, so I have to skip hours of prog to get back to where I was... Very annoying!

pBS is suggesting you try using "Resume" from the TV Guide while recording. Select the program highlighted in red in the TV Guide you want to watch, and select resume. Not using the Recordings area. Did you try that?

I realise that - my question was when selecting a prog from the TV guide and you have 2 tuners, do you get the one recording or live TV on the other one (which would be no use). I'll try next time I'm in when it's recording something.

Geez, that's a good question! Please report back your findings.
