Did you look at post #30 of this thread?

Only EXIT and STOP (which exits full screen) and PLAY and PAUSE work in full screen. When you exit full screen a lot more works (at least for me).

The other parts run the main interface and the popups (it should be obvious what does what). They need a little more work now. In post #30, for example I didn't add ctrl-N to the main interface since it wasn't available at that time of posting. And I think I had some unnecessary things in there too that really serve no purpose other than add confusion on what does what. :o Ctrl-N is to exit search results without exiting the application like you mentioned. You can put it where ever you like (such as the MENU button), as well as edit any of commands any way you want. I just wanted to show it could be done. I was just waiting to edit that post since dhgb256 has been working on it. Big Grin

Hey Snooze, let me know once you have your irremote file completed. I'd like to include it in the zip file for future use, if you don't mind.

Ok, I just installed new version posted (1.0.3572.36775), and everything is working so wonderful.

Another two NEW requests (to benefit everyone I think):

1. In your Options menu, you can either Alt-f4 or use the esc key to exit. I map it to use the escape key (explained later). Popping up the search dialog (ctrl-O) box before search results come up, the only way to exit is alt-f4. Can you use the esc key also so it can be used? I think this way if you have it mapped to use the esc key, if you hit it one too many times, it wont exit you outta of the app? Or have both use the ctrl-N? Its up to you, its your app.

2. Also in the Options Dialog, Is there a way to make the OK-Cancel-Apply to be highlighted a little more so we can tell what it is sitting on, or is that a windows thing?

I sure will. Do you want to wait until you see if you can nail down the next/previous episode, as well as my suggestions in post #63?

Yeah, good call. I will try and get that completed this week. I wanted to do it this weekend, but the other stuff took longer than I thought.

Excellent idea, I will add that. This would solve the issue of accidentally closing the app.

Yes, I can change the text color, or change the button face color to highlight it. I'll try and make it more obvious.

I have the irremote.ini file setup per Snooze, but their is no response to the remote when in full screen. I can use the keyboard to enter alt-F4 to get out of full-screen, and then the remote works as expected. I haven't had any luck getting the IE part to work. I used the names Windows Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer, but only get the Default button mapping. While doing this I remembered that the MENU key in the Default mapping brings up the Windows task switcher (alt-TAB). From this, you can select Movie Viewer which gets you out of full screen. Based on limited testing, everything seems to work as expected after doing this: F7 to go back to full screen, alt-F4 to stop. So, we need to figure out how to switch to Movie Viewer. It's probably in the findwnd and foregrd (sp?) irremote commands. I'll do some research and see if I can figure it out. In the meantime, if someone knows how to switch to a running program, speak up. Smile

I also haven't gotten the skip forward and back to work with the remote, even out of full-screen, but this isn't a show stopper and I probably need to recheck the irremote file for a mistake. Just an observation. The keyboard works.

I'm not totally sure what the issue is, the full screen viewer isn't responding to remote commands. I need to consult some friends about it. Currently only pause/play (Space) and close (alt-F4) work while in full screen. For anything else, you have to exit full screen. Are pause/Play and alt-F4 working in full screen on the remote?

When you alt-F4 out of full screen is my app losing focus? I'm not sure why you have to alt-tab to find the movie watcher screen. Let me know step by step, so I can try and duplicate the problem. I'll get it fixed for you. The way it works for me, if I need to see the info screen, fast forward, or rewind, I hit alt-F4 and then I can use the remote commands. If this isn't working for you let me know.

Hey Snooze, I incorporated your requested changes into the new release. It is ready for you. I love the escape key idea, I think it is much less confusing. The escape key now works like ctrl-n too while in the main menu screen.
