It all seems to work great, except I do not think you want {esc} or {ctrl}N implemented in the Movie Viewer Section.

To see what I mean, start a movie, let it go to fullscreen, {alt}{f4} to exit full screen, then hit {esc}. What it does for me is it escapes to the main menu with the audio of what I was watching still going. No way to get back to what you were watching without restarting it.

And then, when watching a movie, {alt}{f4} to exit full screen, and then {ctrl}N, Movie Viewer is opening another instance of Netflix, and then you get a multiple viewing error with another IE window running over your app. So maybe you want to remove it from the Movie Viewer section as well.

You're zeroing in on it!!!Big Grin

Oops , I set up the escape key to hide the window instead of closing it, I'll get that fixed. That explains the audo still playing.

The ctrl-n is an IE command meaning open a new window. I didn't add that command to the app, I guess it is using the default IE commands. Poor choice of menu commands Smile

Ctrl-n should only do something while in the main screen. I will setup the app to capture the ctrl-n command, so it doesn't send it to the IE viewer. Or I might just eliminate Ctrl-n since escape does the same thing now. thoughts?

Great idea and thanks for the effort so far- thought I would give this a try - however - it hangs on step 3 - downloading info for Genre: My Queue (it says 20 secs with 3 elapsed and keeps refreshing that data.) Did I miss a step in install? Is there a log I can attach?
Thanks,

BTW running Win Xp if that helps.

Hey Carpe,

No, no log file. Just a couple of questions.

1) Did you log into Netlfix using IE and click the "remember me" box?
2) Are you using the latest version (release yesterday 10/14)?
3) Do you have at least .net 2.0?
4) Did you run the database builder program to populate the database?
5) When you say "keeps refreshing" what exactly is happening. Is the installation bar going up to 100% and restarting, or is it hanging at 0%?

OK good deal. I have updated the instructions to say that step must be done through IE, I wasn't sure before. Now I know Smile

New version is released. I wasn't able to capture the ctrl-n key command on the movie viewer, so i have removed ctrl-n from the program. You can now use the escape key in lieu of ctrl-n.

I also fixed the closing of the movie viewer.

Please let me know if my latest change broke your ir functionality. The forms no longer show up as separate windows, so all of the remote commands should be mapped to the Netflix TX Viewer screen.

Ok, I am confused, but also beat from a long day. If I understand you right, I should be able to map all the remote commands to just Netflix TX Viewer in irremote.ini? Meaning... Options, Search and Movie Viewer (all focus windows, for lack of words) can be blown away? Just wondering what direction your heading with this. Then I can follow up.

Yeah, no sense in making it more complicated for yourself.

I might need you to PM me what does what after this whirl of changes

Well I have one more change for you Smile I have the skip episode buttons working. Please make sure that they work on your screen resolution. If not I will troubleshoot, but it should work. The new remote keys are tab (move forward 1 episode) and shift-tab (move back one episode). I figured this way the skip and replay buttons could be used for navigation while in the other screens as well. I will post momentarily.
