Glad to do it. Let me know if you think it is ready to go out to the public as version 1.2.

Tested only on my test box, not the HTPC. Worked fine; I didn't try to reproduce the items reported by Snooze or otherwise try to break it.

Couple of cosmetic items:

On the main screen when a long list of movies is present in the queue and the scroll bars appear, the last movie name is only partially on the bottom of the screen. This is at 1280X1024 resolution. The scroll bar ends properly before the bottom of the screen, however.

On the search screen, using a Vista color scheme, the scroll bars are barely visible. Probably could be fixed with by choosing a different scheme - if you're using Windows default schemes, then no need to change anything. Actually, it's fine when you get used to it, just raised a question in my mind while waiting for the list of actors/directors to build.

I think it's time for a wider audience.

The main screen movie list:
Does the name show properly when sleected? If so then I noticed that problem previously, but I decided that to fix it the time/benefit ratio was too high.

Color Scheme:
Unfortunately my control over scroll bars is very limited unless I write code to draw them myself. I'm guessing this won't be included until version 3.0 Big Grin Unless you have problems scrolling, then I'll get it fixed quick.

Main screen with long queue: It acts like the list box extends below the screen, to the end of the list. The scroll bars however end at the screen bottom. I can arrow down through the list, and when reaching the partially displayed entry (top one-third or so visible), it then moves up into full view displays properly. The scroll bar works fine, as does page-down and page-up.

No need to fix the list box on the search page. It's just a matter of getting used to it, especially the time it takes to fill the list with actors or directors. Netflix seems comparatively unresponsive today.

Thanks.

I will give it a workout tonight and report back before I go to bed... but it all seems ok so far.

One question... there is no way to make movie viewer to exit from full screen with the {esc} key right... only the {alt}{f4}?

Yeah, when it goes into full screen my program loses the ability to capture key presses, so you have to use alt-F4. And for some reason the netflix viewer doesn't respond to its own default key presses. To be honest I am baffled by this whole thing. I'm trying to get it to work though, it is my highest priority fix right now.

I wonder how netflix_silverlight_control did it in that code I posted a while back. Does that give any clues?

EDIT: That was the wrong link. Here it is http://www.google.com/codesearch/p?hl=en...ecode\.com

Well... I tried hard and I cannot break it!! This is a great addition to GBPVR as a custom app. Big Grin

EDIT: 4 more for the wishlist:

1. Another cool feature would to be able to sort "MY QUEUE" between Alphabetical (like it does now) or in the order 1 through XX as you see on your Netflix account page. I use this to prioritize what shows I would rather watch before others. A command could be mapped to some button(s) left over like YELLOW, * or # .

2. Add to the Options Dialog the "Previously Watched" on your Netflix account page. It would make it real handy to pick up on a series you left off on or allows the "better half" to know what you been up to all day (now thinking about it, maybe this isn't a good idea but I will throw it out there anyway). Rolleyes

3. I switched Options to Documentary. I seen a show I might want to watch, so I added it to my queue, while still in documentary I decided I wanted to take a little peek at it, so I watched a little and found it wasn't something I was interested in at all. I escaped back to the main menu and decided to CTRL-R it to remove it from My Queue while I was still in Documentary. What it did is it deleted it from the Documentary list instead of just removing it from My Queue. It did return after I switched from Documentary, to My Queue and back to Documentary though. Maybe this is a good feature though...

4. In the main menu, I think it was mentioned before. If you select an program with multiple episodes, it sure would be nice to select which one with Episode # and Title in text the same size as the main menu in the main menu instead of in the movie viewer. The one in movie viewer is so small and you have to cycle through each one to get where you want to be. I know this isn't your doing.

I just updated post #30 of this thread to my current Irremote.ini file for your new release 1.2. If you want to edit it so it doesn't refer to the troubleshooting part and use it in your official release instructions, feel free. Insist on removing netflix_control or else it conflicts with your app.

I'll look this over and see if I can use any of it. I didn't realize it was open source, that is awesome! Hopefully, i can figure out the window handle of the fullscreen netflix viewer, then i should be able to implement this.

I can add this when i add the other change (see #4 below), since this will require a database change also. I'll add this to my to do list, I would also like to be able to sort the list by star rating and Rating (G, PG, R, etc.) this way I can find the kid appropriate shows when my daughter is awake.

I don't think this will be necessary after my change, see answer to #4 below.

Oops, I'll have to correct this little "feature." Smile I accounted for this, i thought, by requiring the movie to be in your queue to use ctrl-R, but you apparently found the weak link in my plan Smile

Yes, i still plan on adding this to the program, but it will require a database alteration, so I haven't been jumping to do it. But this is the next thing on my list of features to add. When you select a movie that is multipart, it will show a second screen that lets you select which episode you want to watch. I'm trying to figure out whether it willb e fast enough to just dowload the info each time the show is selected, or if I need to store the info in the database. I'll add this to my next Beta.

Excellent, I will do that. Thank you!
