The sands of time don't flow up the hourglass.

I actually bought a dedicated nose hair trimmer a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure the nose hair is hair that previously retreated from my hairline looking for lower ground to grow in.

Sometimes I wonder if men, as they approach or experience middle age, are more prone to vanity, than women.

I'm lucky that I haven't been losing hair, only receding ever so little in the temples. And the grey is salt and peppering the temples. But the so many other things that remind me that I'm getting older... I'm spending far too much time hiding them...

Oh, to be young again....

I remember one summer where it seemed like every other commercial on TV was a Rogaine commercial. I got so sick of seeing them that I decided to see what I would look like if I went bald. I walked into the bathroom and shaved my head completely. I actually liked it so I decided never to worry about it. As for my gray hairs, I figure I've earned ever one of them. Big Grin

I've got silver hair sparsely dispersed pretty lightly throughout, but because it's silver instead of grey, the glare tends to draw the eye.

I don't know if I earned them so much, it may well be that I've given so many grey hairs karma decided to step in and return the favor. Either way, no way I'd interfere with the process. It seems like that would be just asking for trouble.

Surprisingly, no. I blame them all on my sister and my wife. Big Grin

Back in the early 70s my hair was longer than Francis Rossi's - I started to recede in the 90s and eventually, about 10 years ago, I took the plunge and went for the number one comb. It had got to the stage where I was taking longer to pay the barber than he was taking to cut my hair, so Mrs ACTCMS bought me a good quality electric clipper and became my barber. Now I don't even bother with the comb - just the straight clipper.

Any of you guys heading the same way can take comfort in an old Scottish saying "grass disnae grow on a busy street" and remember, you save a fortune on shampoo - a standard bottle does me about a year...

PS buy yourself a bunch of lightweight woolen hats and keep one in every coat/jacket you have - handy in the cold or in the sun...Wink

My brother is a year and a half older than I am, but his hairline is receeding at a much faster rate than mine for some reason. Somewhat recently, when one of us was visiting the other, we started to go out doors. He paused & went back in to get a hat. When he came out he said that he keeps forgetting that he now needs a hat to protect the top of his head from the sun.

Being the good & loving brother that I am, I offered to call him everyday & remind him that he is going bald. He turned down my offer.

I'm a twin, though not identical, my twin has much less hair on top than I do. He has a gotee and I don't so I guess it had to come from somewhere.
Oh yeah, he's also 30 lbs. heavier than me. Big Grin
