Ok, I think I got an idea... is it possible if when I manually exit fullscreen by {alt}{f4}, that you can put say... a X second timer (either what you are using when you first start a movie or exit {f10} or adjustable) to snap it back to full screen automatically again after there is no user input?

Snooze Wrote:Yes I did. I unchecked both boxes since I am not clear on what they do anyway. I set options to 0 days, exited and re-ran the app and got only one error. I exited and re-ran the app again and no errors. Fixed?

Well first a quick lesson on what the options mean, forgive me if this is TMI Smile :
Essentially when you rebuild the database to save time it does not look for information on movies that already have thumbnails in your movieinfo folder (So if you ever want to do a full rebuild, you must delete this folder). I did this to save time, but it had some unintentional consequences. Because it ignores movies that it already downloaded, if you change the star ranking on the website, it will not update them. the "update star rating" option redownloads the star rating and repopulates the database, so they are up to date. This affects almost all movies because as you rank other movies it adjusts the "predicted" star rankings of unwatched movies also. Personally I have rated soooo many movies that I tend to rate movies at the predicted marking anyway, so i leave this feature off.

When you select the "View rated" option, it downloads movies even if you have assigned them a star rating. I leave this one checked beause I like to have a full database.

The update stars option downlaods the star ratings each time you rebuild the database.

Snooze Wrote:5,620... sounds about right.

But my question still stands kinda. How do you have yours set so say for example: Options set to 1 day... how do you ensure it will update with the EPG rather than when you enter the app? I don't see how you could avoid opening the app and it updating itself when you have a "guest" over to watch a liittle on demand if it failed during the middle of the night. If you didnt stay up until 2am (which I am sure you do working on this all the time) to set the day count in options? When does the clock start ticking when you set it in options?

The 5620 is probably because you turned off the view rated, the full download is about 7,100. You rated a lot of movies Smile

OK, as for your other question, first I have now set up my app to autoclick the message boxes, so they only show for 2 seconds and then disappear. This way your dtabase update should not fail. My next step is to set up an error log, beacuse it is impossible for me to troubleshoot the database build without one.

Now, a work around in case it fails again. If it starts a full download, you can alt-F4 out of the install status screen and it should bring up the main menu (blank). You can then go into the options menu and change the update to like 90 days and close/reopen the program. Change it back to your desired number of days whe you are done and you are good to go. I've had to do this alot Big Grin

I turned on "Download Rated Movies" and the number dropped to 5,017:confused:

Snooze Wrote:You know, I don't remember now. I don't think anything responded because of the window name in focus or perhaps it was because the buttons moved around in the player. And since you had all the bases covered with keyboard commands and snapping to fullscreen I didnt even bother to try to get it to work. It worked before with or without Whurstons plugin actually quite well. I could easily retry it. I am wondering now if I can simply rename Netflix Control= and [Netflix Control] to Movie Viewer= and [Movie Viewer]? Either Netflix Control or Netflix Silverlight Control did the auto fullscreen thing too, but lately on the Sage forums it was saying something changed. If I knew what did what in both executable's it might make it easier. Do you have any suggestions from the code? I will fiddle with it and let you know.

I really haven't a clue at this point. I tried for 3 days to figure out how to send commands to the netflix silverlight control and failed miserably. If you can get it to work let me know.

I got a surprise for you. Big Grin

Oh, can you automate a return to fullscreen? For example, if I exit fullscreen using {alt}{f4} to have it return to fullscreen after a few seconds of no user input like it does after using {F10}?

Not to fear Big Grin

This problem has been driving me nuts for a while now, after updates i would have anywhere between 1100 and 5600 movies downloaded, but on a fresh download i would get 7100. But...I got this fixed. Apparently it wasn't downloading all of the pages previously. But I made some changes to the website download and 3 times in a row it downloaded 7,206 movies. So I think I got it fixed. I will post the update shortly. Also, I added a database download log file. 10 days worth of log files is kept in the movieinfo folder and older log files are deleted.

Did you figure it out?

This is a little tricky, i think i can set a timer, but if you alt-F4 so you can rewind/ff, change episodes, or look at the info screen it might go full screen on you while you are playing with it. I actually turned that off on the info screen also, you have to hit F10 (or esc, or alt-F4) again to close it and return to fullscreen. This would be a lot of proramming, because i would have to reset the timer on any keypress/mouse move.

You can reenter full screen by hitting F7 (or F10 twice).

Ok on the auto stuff. Even though, I think with those key mappings, it wouldn't matter. I can test it if you want, if it isn't a big deal to add the timer programming. If it is way too much work, I know I can live with it. This app is so great, I am just trying to help you give everyone a great experience. I would think if you leave the info screen (frmInfoScreen) like you got, and then "Movie Viewer" has a timer for anything else, like 5 seconds it would work best for most anyone. It already does this when you first start a flick. I dont think you need to add it for any key presses. It would only take part in FFWD or RWND or skip episode anyway, which is constantly fiddling with key presses anyway. I have it setup ( I am pretty sure) that even if it does go to full screen before you want, it should go back to where it needs to be to do anymore ffwd or rwnd or skip commands.

Looks great. Big Grin

Unfortunately event ghost doesn't recognize the Netflix:... window, so I can't use it. Sad I'm glad you have it working though. i'll just have to alt-F4 before using my keys.

Well I tried, I thought I found an easy work around using an application_idle event, but I couldn't figure out how to turn on the idle event when coming out of fullscreen and if I left it on during fullscreen play it crashed the app. So the only other way to work this is to set a public timer and reset the timer for every mouse/keypress, so I think it will be too much coding. Sorry. Sad

On the plus side the updated app is posted. On the downside, one of the genre ids changed, so unless you have microsoft access, you'll need to start fresh on your database. If you hae access, let me know and I'll tell you what to update.
