Hi,

When I press the off button on the remote, the NMT menu screen stays on. I press remote a secon time and the screen flickers and the menu stays on. I can repeat this over-and-over again and the menus stays on.

I have two A-100s setup: one on a 720 HD TV using an HDMI cable and the other on an old standard 4:3 tube TV using a S-video cable. The problem only occurs on the the HD TV.

Also, on the HD TV the GBPVR menu only covers the upper left hand quadrant (more-or-less) of the screen. How can I make it cover the entire screen?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks again folks (esp. mvallevand)for all your advice!

For the Power Off problem you have to wait about 10 seconds for the NMT to appear and then hit power off. On the A100 it isn't really a power off the video output is just turned off. If that doesn't solve the problem does it turn off ok if you don't go into mvpmcx2?

For the HD problem, you probably don't have config.xml set up properly with a matching MAC address or you have multiple entries for one device. I will need logs to give more information but you will have to AutoStart one server turn off all MVP's and only log in with the machine you are checking.

Rebooted the NMT so to have a clean start. I went into GBPVR via Network Browser then pushed OFF and got back to the NMT menu and waited a little longer than 10 seconds and then pushed OFF, but the problem remains. I then rebooted, got to the NMT menu and pushed OFF without ever going to GBPVR, and the problem is still there. It just wont shut off.

I have no idea if this is related, or not, but the A100 won't play .ts files on the HD TV when I try to play them. I just get a black screen. Like with the "Turn Off" problem, I DO NOT have this problem on the A100 connected to the old 4:3 tube TV.

I didn't have time to look into the config.xml for the GBPVR display issue on the HDTV.

Thanks.

I'd try swapping the two machines to see if you have a hardware problem.

I swapped machines and the A-100 turns OFF when connected to the other (SD) TV via S-Video.

Also, when reconnected to the HDTV, but via S-Video not HDMI, the unit shuts OFF. The only time it won't turn OFF is when it is hooked up via HDMI cable. Maybe it is something with my HDTV - an Olevia 232 model or the cable.

At least the A-100 appears to be OK. Smile

Thanks again.
