YouTube have made a HTPC GUI version, YouTube XL that is really nice. Navigate with arrow keys and OK.
http://www.youtube.com/xl

If you wan´t to have it in you menu and start fullscreen, start config.exe and create a task with Internet Explorer with the -k parameter.
-k http://www.youtube.com/xl
Name it YouTube and a YouTube.png icon will show up in main menu.
I have enclosed a zip with a youtube taskimage for Mayhem3

Give me tips about more "Plugouts", (external tasks with HTPC GUI)

Thanks for this tip, Bekken
Best Regards

That page has been there for a while but I forgot about it. You guys are probably aware of it but there is also Hulu Desktop (or does that only work in North America?)

I'm fairly sure that one's North America only.

I've found that Youtube XL delivers poorer quality video/sound than the full site.

Any chance something like this would work through the MVP?

Great looking interface but dead in the water without full remote support (IMHO)

I can cursor around the interface by creating an entry in irremote.ini but there is no (apparent) way to go full screen or FF/RW. Also not way of entering text in seach field with remote.

It'll get there

I don't think so. There are limits on what the MVP can play or show you.
The only way I could see it working is if you download the video file from YouTube (with something like PwnYouTube http://tinyurl.com/ygz5qd5) then transcode the file for mpg2, then send it to the MVP.

You can go full screen by installing the Autohide extension in Firefox, and adding: '-fullscreen http://www.youtube.com/xl' to the command line. As for the rest of the missing elements, you're right...
