I have been playing with adding specific screen position settings in the config for each MVP and getting random red or blue backgrounds on my MVP's. The strange thing is the blue background is in the config but sometimes it shows up as red (same blue skin only red as opposed to the red sky background). Do I need to add a statement in each section to specify which skins to use for each MVP?

Interesting, I figured with my luck it would just be me... Actually the only reason I was messing with them was while trying out the new MVP position plugin. Pretty cool, just needs to be expanded to support multiple MVP's.

Sub, any idea why the stock blue background would change to red just by changing screen postions?

No, this doesnt make sense to me. I've tried, but not been able to reproduce the error described. My only thought was, maybe you're not editing the file correctly, and in someway invalidating the file?

Hmmm, I'm using notepad. It's weird in that it is the stock blue background only it's red. As soon as I delete the specific MAC sections everything is fine. Here's my MVP section:

<!-- MVP Settings -->
<MVPForceMinimalOSD>true</MVPForceMinimalOSD>
<MVPServerAutostart>2</MVPServerAutostart>
<MVPUseAlphaChannel>false</MVPUseAlphaChannel>
<MVPTranscodePrePlayDelay>5500</MVPTranscodePrePlayDelay>
<MVPTranscodeUseFFDSHOW>false</MVPTranscodeUseFFDSHOW>
<MVPWidth>640</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>430</MVPHeight>
<MVPOffsetX>25</MVPOffsetX>
<MVPOffsetY>25</MVPOffsetY>
<MAC-000DFE002878>
<MVPWidth>640</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>430</MVPHeight>
<MVPOffsetX>25</MVPOffsetX>
<MVPOffsetY>25</MVPOffsetY>
</MAC-000DFE002878>
<MAC-000DFE008D3B>
<MVPWidth>630</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>425</MVPHeight>
<MVPOffsetX>30</MVPOffsetX>
<MVPOffsetY>25</MVPOffsetY>
</MAC-000DFE008D3B>

Does this look ok?

Ah, thats right. Now I remember. All values must be a multiple of fours. Its been raised here in the past, but its been so long since it was last mention that I forgot about.

So width, height, x, and y all need to be divisible by 4? Interesting, I'll give it a try in the morning. Thanks!

spyder40,
Let me know if this takes care of the problem. Making sure entries are in multiple of fours for my plugin is pretty easy.

Sub/Ron22,

I made all my entries a multiple of 4 and everything is looking good, thanks sub for reaching back into the cobwebs! The new position plugin with multiple entries is pretty cool. I'll post my suggestions in the announcements thread. Once you write something you'll have idiots like me asking for more Big Grin
