I try to change the settings for TV Reocrdings but they don't take. Below is the relevant section of the CONFIG log. What would cause the program to not be able to open its database file? How do I fix it?

It does have a TV Listings.db3 file in the plugins\TV Listings directory but it seems empty. I've attached it. Is it supposed to be inthe GBPVR directory?

UPDATE: I tried moving it to the GBPVR directory and it still wouldn't work.

Hi,

the database should be located at "plugins\tv listings\tv listings.db3", so that should be correct. Do you have write access rights to that file?

-alibert[/QUOTE]The TVListings.db3 file allows Full Control and every other permission except Special Permissions to everyone.

The plugins\TV Listings directory is marked as Read Only but when I go look at the Security tab for the directory it has different permissions for different Groups or User Names.

This permissions on the c: drive is probably the area of Windows 7 that is giving me the most problems.

Are there any hidden places in Windows 7 where the permissions are overridden from what is shown from a right click on the file and selecting Properties?

Hi,

when using windows vista or 7 and you've installed gbpvr to the program files directory, the database could be moved into a virtualstore subfolder due to the data redirection security feature. Look if you have a folder similar to "c:\users\<Username>\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\devnz\gbpvr\plugins\tv listings\", and try to delete it (backup your data first), then try to install the plugin again.

Thanks. That fixed it. I had to run WinZip as Administratotr rather than just being able to right click on the ZIP file and extract the files.

This having Admin accounts without Administrative permissions in Windows 7 is driving me crazy. Even when Windows asks you if you want to run as Administrator it doesn't really do that.
