Sub,
Have you considered allowing your user community to vote on the top 10/12 common suggestions (qtr, 1/2yr, yr)? It would allow everyone the opportunity to help prioritize what they need as apposed to what they want. I'm a newbie to you system and as such don't know how the mods are decided on and have some suggestions myself.

If it would help, I ran across a web site that I think might be helpful. It's called UserVoice.com and the way it works is that each person is given x tokens to vote with. This controls the number of votes and forces each voter to select carefully how they vote their tokens. This prevents everyone from voting on everything with equal weight. Just a suggestion.

I appreciate the suggestion, but given I just do this as a hobby, and make close to zero dollars out of it, I tend to only work on things I want to work on.

I also like to make sure things fit in with my general vision of a PVR... otherwise we'll end up with this: [Image: homersimpsoncar.gif]

Also, some features are just going to take too much effort to implement, or totally unenjoyable to work on, so sometimes just not worth it for me, even if lots of people want that feature.

I've got no problem with people making it clear to me what they'd like to see, but I cant give any guarantees.

and the result of that is a damn good bit of software. From what I've seen though, you do implement most sensible suggestions/requests from users (apart from allowing a screensaver plugin to drop back to where it came from rather than return to the main menu of courseBig Grin)

Great, I vote in favor of this, let's make GBPVR a democratic proces, maybe then my quest for a lawn-mower plugin will have a better future.Wink
When that task is fullfilled I will run for a seat in the GBPVR-parliament, when I have reached that my life is fulfilled and I will step back and fill my old days with watching all the recordings I wasn't able to watch during the whole proces described above.

No kidding:
Please, just keep going as you are Sub, GBPVR is the best non-democratic phenomenon I know.

Edit: about the car: Thinking of Copenhagen: Painting a car green doesn't mean it's "green".

Yes, fortunately this place is a meritocracy (of one) rather than a democracy. Big Grin
