A request for a refinement. I use mc2xml with the enhancer and there is an inconsistency between the episode names on mc2xml and the TVDB.com. As I understand it the enhancer compares the episode names to get the episode number. The problem surfaces if there is not a perfect match between them. For instance mc2xml will spell "Midseason" while TVDB will spell Mid-season. The same thing happens with the word "and" and the "&" character. Since the match is not exact we get (207) instead of the S02E07 for the episodenumber. Would it be possible to fuzzy up the search algorithm a bit to get more matches?
Thanks again for writing this great program

207 is the episode number if you remove the S and E...Smile eg. 308 would be season 3 ep. 8..
i think he just omits those characters to make number shorter..
but i do totally get your point...it could always be better in this area..

I already have it do a lot of fuzzy compare. Yep, I couldn't get them all, and I have been looking at adding a few more rules... But I'm not sure I'll be getting to it any time soon...

I'm trying to integrate with MeediOS and their TV show handling is based on episode numbers. Getting these right would make this easier. I'm pretty sure the number in parenthesis is the production code which may or may not correspond to the episode number. Anyway thanks again

Oh , yeah it's the production code... but the listings provider is not consistent. Sometime the data in the episode number is NOT the productio code, or at least not in any form that is easily looked up. That's why, I search by title and subtitle...

Apparently you are unique in this. I've checked the various media scrapers for meedios and xbmc and they all search by episode number. I don't suppose Ultra can be modified to do an episode lookup outside the schedule very easily. Maybe a vbscript to read a directory into a fake xmltv.xml and then another one to extract and rename the files. Beyond my skills but maybe somebody might read this and get inspired.
