I have quickly looked at some skins from Sub, and the Wheather skin. There the names start in lowercase. Some are "cameled", but start in lower case. I guess that is the standard.

I updated my page accordingly. I think it is up to date now except for CS-4 which has to wait until Fatman_do has found the time to adjust it.

I still notice some issues with adding tracks to a queue, which I need to test further.

Thanks for the hard work to complete this. And of course to Psycik for desining the plugin.

Best wishes for 2010

I went back to ML2 and I realized there is one feature I like that wasn't implemented and that is "Always Query" Having this turned off allows for much faster scrolling through the left side screen. Hitting left arrow, OK or Enter will do the query your selection from the database.

You can also now override this with a new option on the Home/Menu key "Query On" or "Query Off"

Here's another short list of some issues with the latest nightly:
  1. Page down/up through the "title" list doesn't work with the <</>> buttons on the NMT (doesn't work on the server either, but there scrolling is much faster with the arrows).
  2. On the playlist screen, moving up/down is still very slow
  3. The counter on the Queue/While-playing-screen sometimes doesn't start at 0, but I can't really tell when. Also, sometimes on the first song in a queue, pause doesn't work on the NMT. The counter stops -Paused, but the song continues to play. On second attempt, it does always work though.
  4. Skin: I am not 100% happy with the readability of smaller font from the more recent nightlies, I am using the earlier version

I didn't bother implementing it because I was thinking of scrolling backwards with the left arrow instead. I will think which is easier

Right good catch, I don't use playlists and I forgot to make the query off chance there.

Quote:The counter on the Queue/While-playing-screen sometimes doesn't start at 0, but I can't really tell when.

I will watch for this, I haven't been paying attention before.

That's odd I will watch and listen for this too.

Skins are a personal preference, feel free. A "small" font on a 50" screen is really not all that small. I think the font is the same size though, it's the way it is scaled by GBPVR.

Thanks for the feedback.

Martin, I have gone through and re-skinned most of the items, but there are several things I don't know how to activate through "keyboard only" since I skin off of my laptop and not my HTPC.

PopupDetails and MediaPopupDetails, and is there still a search function? I am not sure how to do that without a remote.

Martin

Could you implement it? On larger collections with a few albums per artist the list can easily be 70+ titles. The ability to move down and up as in the other two lists would be a plus.

Thanks for considering.

Thanks Fatman_do hopefully this will make your life easier

- MediaPopupDetails' isn't implemented,

- Search is the bottom strip on the Library screen entered by the keyboard a-z or a cell-phone still numeric keypad toggle.

- PopupDetails, you get by hitting Enter on a Track in the Library. It is almost the same as PopupDetails from the Music plugin with @composer added and @lastplayed and @timesplayed removed.

Thanks Martin.

I was thinking search was handled a popup at one time, so 'duh' on me.

That leaves the PopupDetails...Now on my laptop when I hit enter, it moves me to the next column, like hitting the arrow keys on keyboard. This just may be my laptop acting different then. I hope to have my new HTPC up and running tomorrow (FedEX 12cm snow fighting gods willing) so I can test it "live".

If you hit Enter on an Artist or Album it will drill down. When you are on a track it will bring up the Popup.

Good luck with your delivery (and the GBPVR setup!)

Here is an update to address newyankee's comments

- Query Off enabled for playlists
- Paging enabled in titles window

Also changed

- Home key crashing in Playlist screen
- Reduced calls for album art lookup while scrolling.
- @composer now used in Playlists.xml
