Help is appreciated!! Here's what the registry entry for the remote looks like.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

try to keep the same format as it's much easier to read..
[eg: "02,00,00,00,04,00,1f,\ ;2" so easier to see where codes are]

where's CodeSetNum0-3?
they shouldn't be deleted...
make them all '0'
"CodeSetNum0"=dword:00000000
"CodeSetNum1"=dword:00000000
"CodeSetNum2"=dword:00000000
"CodeSetNum3"=dword:00000000

pBS, why do you use "Back" as

23,00,00,00,01,24,02,; \ ac - back
and not just
23,00,00,00,04,00,2a, ; \ back

Edit: Searching this out I found an interesting link that even credits your work http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61571 There are some nice suggestions there.

Is there a difference with how gb uses the commands? The key can be remapped to use the keyboard press, instead of the consumer code. I think PBS used the default action he found in the original guide, which works in gb, so he left it alone.

this only works with mce remote selected in gbpvr config app, and if pvrx2 has focus...
to this end, i just figured out a way to start pvrx2 and/or re-acquire focus! [SWEET!]
make a shortcut to pvrx2 on desktop, and set a hotkey for it [i use ctrl-alt-p] and use that as power button send code...
[also starts pvrx2 if it's not on already..]

Can you add this to the wiki? I'm going to try this out so I can dump EventGhost. It has been giving me issues with Windows 7, and it's one more layer for processing remote buttons.

There is a difference I can't get GBPVR to recognize

if (e.KeyCode == System.Windows.Forms.Keys.BrowserBack)
{
...
}

I think I'm having trouble understanding the PDF table and how it relates to the reg patch.

I'd like the power key to not launch GB-PVR or bring it to focus as my machine is dedicated to GB-PVR.

Instead, I'd like it to simply (I hope!) turn off the computer. Can anyone help me with that?

maybe it logs input somewhere?

I have an Adesso remote that is a rebadged Ortek. I've mapped all the keys to the corresponding KeyPress. It seems to be a Keyboard/Mouse that sends IR commands rather than an actual remote so I'm not sure if it can be remapped without messing up a keyboard. I'm still hunting down the registry for it but here is an HTML with the keys mapped to the keypresses. Can you add this to the Wiki?

Well the Adesso remote installs as an HID keyboard and mouse and not as a remote control. So the only way to override the keys in the registry is by adding a Scancode Mapping to the keyboard layout. The problem is that this will override ALL keyboards which would not be good. I'll look into temporarily overriding them with an tray application instead that can be enabled and disabled. The only issue will be that I can't override the Info button since this is mapped to a right mouse click. What I can do though is override the Back button to serve as Info so the two buttons would in effect be reversed since right mouse click serves the same function as back in GBPVR.

I edited the registry on my computer to use the changes I wanted; I can get the power button to put the system into standby, will that do?
Change the last three values on pBS's original post to look like this:
