Theatre Pro 550

Having trouble getting gbpvr to work with my ATI Theatre Pro card. When I select Live TV the window goes black and locks up my machine after about 2 seconds. I can play DVDs and music etc and the epg works. Downloaded the latest drivers for the card from ATI. Have the latest copy of gbpvr that includes support for this card. The software that came with the card Power Cinema 3 works fine. Any ideas. Thanks ...

I've not heard of any others with this problem before.

You could try disabling live preview mode in the config app. It may help.

Well I set up a machine w/ the software recording plug in, then switched it over to a Hauppauge 150. Then I decided to convert my main PVR from MCE 2005 over to GB-PVR (I just finished that up and based on testing w/ it hooked to the monitor I should have some spectacular faux-HDTV to-morrow night [thank God for FFDSHOW]) I'm starting to feel like quite the expert :-) w/ that said I'm wondering if perhaps you need to uninstall Powercinema and the ATI MMC if you installed it as well. It seems like I read something about powercinema hogging resources or some such.

BTW I just made a donation, this is really fantastic stuff you've accomplished here sub.

Disabling the live preview mode did the trick - now I have to get the fm radio working - but I know that's not supported yet... Thanks
