Hi,
I'm new to GBPVR, I found it from the Hauppauge web site as a 3rd party application for the MediaMVP.
I used my MediaMVP before with the mvpmc project on my linux home server. I've since switched to Windows 7 and, as I thought, the stock Hauppauge software to drive the MediaMVP cannot play any of my videos.
I got the Hauppauge software working, I even upgraded to the 3.4 beta for Vista, since this is the latest version. On their site they say it's for 32-bit, but I'm running 64-bit Windows 7. In fact, if I try to play a .mpg the MediaMVP just reboots so maybe it's working to play videos at all, but at least the MediaMVP is booting up.
I followed the installation instructions of having the Hauppauge software installed, but set the services to Manual startup; installing GBPVR and setting the number of MVP/NMT clients to 1 and getting a fresh dongle.bin. However, even though I've done this my MediaMVP can't find any server to boot from.
When I was using the mvpmc project I remember having to set up a tftp server and changing an option on my network's dhcp server and all that drama, but I did not find similar instructions for neither the Hauppauge software nor GBPVR. Are there steps that I am missing to get the MediaMVP to boot and work with a GBPVR backend?
