Atom Desktop

My dad longstanding Pentium M system has started to crash on an almost daily basis. I've changed the memory but its still crashes so I have decided to bite the bullet and replace the whole unit.

Can anyone suggest an Atom netop. Ideally it must have an optical drive and HDMI out

Sorry. Yes he does record on it and it doesn't serve any clients

Currently has a dual DVB-T PCI tuner.

But that doesn't matter too much. But I would be happy to change the tuner to either pci-e or usb

If you are not adverse to building up a system, the ZOTAC IONITX-A-U Atom N330 1.6GHz Dual-Core Mini ITX Intel Motherboard makes a fantastic GbPvr system. The system has HDMI, VGA, and DVI connectors and will play anything I throw at it. Also, with the new beta Flash drivers it will play flash videos (hulu, etc) in full screen 1080p seamlessly. Keep in mind that there are no expansion slots.
