Could this has something to do with the limited bandwidth comcast has. I thought i heard that comcast was going to use a system where they dont readily provide every channel you have access to at once, and kind of like on demand when you need it it loads it up for you to watch posibly taking away another channel, and using less bandwidth. Dont quote me on this one i may be taking out of my ass. IT was a while ago i read about this
