I'm using GBPVR 1.4.7 on XP SP3 with PVR-150 drivers 2.0.48.25037. I've run VCREDIST.

I can't get any audio using the composite + phono inputs. Searching on the web, there are lots of references to audio problems with the PVR-150, some going as far back as 2005.

VLC doesn't give audio either, so I assume it's a driver problem. The PVR-150 doesn't explicitly appear as an audio option in the VLC setup.

There's such a fog of information on this, I wondered if anybody here has the definitive answer please.

I had it working at one time, with, I believe, the 25037 drivers. I used WinTV, not GBPVR, to copy a video camera tape from the camera to the computer.

Maybe try a reinstall but run hcwclear.exe first to clear out any old stuff. I've had pretty good luck recently with the latest XP drivers from Hauppauge; I got the entire CD (3.4.D1 or something like that) and it fixed the tuner audio too loud problem with the previous drivers (which may have been 23074). 25037 may be the latest. Sorry for the limited help.

Just for the record:

Red face time - when I checked the cable, it wasn't wired in the normal way. Having made a new cable, the audio is now fine with GBPVR. There's still no audio with VLC but I'm not too worried about that.
