Overlapping recordings

I have a dual tuner HPVR-2200 detected as Hauppauge WinTV-7164 BDA DVBT Tuner.
There are 2 scheduled recordings each with 1min pre-padding and 5min post-padding they are on different digital frequencies.
Programme 1 finishes at 20:30 but should record until 20:35
Programme 2 starts at 20:30 but should start recording at 20:29
Instead of Programme 2 being recorded on a different tuner, it appears the two programmes are recorded on the same tuner and there is no post-padding on Programme 1 and no pre-padding on Programme 2

The real problem is that I missed the last minute or so of Dr Who

Is there a way to force the scheduled recording to use a particular tuner?

GB-PVR had a setting called <HonourPaddingIfPossible> or something along those lines that would make it record on alternate tuners if possible to get the padding. As far as I can see sub hasn't implemented this in NPVR.
