Another thing I noticed:
In "Device Setup" it won't remember the Type Specific settings. I am selecting Australia but after closing then reopening the window it always reverts to Sweden.

It seems to be working here. What type of device were you using? Analog/DVB-T/DVB-S etc.

I have 2 DVB-T devices:
HVR2200
Digital Now Tiny Twin

It won't keep the Type Specific settings for either.

Hmm, odd. I just tried here, including a few different country options (including Australia), and it seems to remember the selection when I hit 'ok' and then go back into the screen.

Can you try selecting 'New Zealand / Wellington (Mt KauKau)' and see if it remembers it correctly?

Why do I get the feeling of deja vu reading this thread? Wasn't there an issue like this with the 2200 in the past that was resolved with a driver or registry setting (separate from GBPVR)?

Big Grin

I know I have to be patient...:o
So what is best thing to do?

I will setup my Terratec Cinergy C PCI HD + CI-addon today.

According to sub, GBPVR doesn't support the CI on this card, and therefore it will be of no use. How about NPVR, does it support this CI?

I would like the server/client feature in the future, but for now there are just 3 demands for my TV-setup:

-Being able to watch Live TV ( Tongue )
-Being able to use the CI
-Being able to use multirecord (watching another channel on the same mux)

Will this mean that I can't use either GBPVR or NPVR?

If you have (or buy a cheap) Pgoenix smartcard reader you can install NewCS cardserver and Acamd softcam, and use the built-in multidec to watch and record multiple encrypted channels. If should work unless your subscription card is hardware-paired with your CAM (or STB). Which country do you live in?

I live in Norway, and use Canal Digital.

I think cardserver should work, but they will use hardware-pairing in the future.

I want to run everything on Windows though, so I don't know if there's any good options?

If you have that green smartcard from CanalDigital it will work! I have the same, and they have talked about pairing card and decoder for years now and it havan't happend. Riks-tv is another story, for that I use a Technotrend 1500 card with HW-CAM that GB- and NPVR supports.

GBPVR or NPVR will handle Live TV and multirecord (the latter in GBPVR so long as you pick the ts mux option).
