Installation errors

Hi all,
I have a PC with Windows Vista Ultimate edition installed.

I have just tried to install NPVR as recommended by another user, as GB-PVR did not support my "eyetv diversity" usb card.

As recommended, I first installed:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...laylang=en
Microsoft DirectX Runtime: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...laylang=en

Then I attempted to install NPVR 1.5.28 from http://www.gbpvr.com/NPVRSetup.exe

As soon as installation started I recieved 3 error dialog boxes one after the other.
I have posted pics below:





After clicking "OK" on the above errors, installation continued and concluded.

After trying to run "Start NPVR Service", I recieved this error:



Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Also, after running the program, I have gone to settings to update the channels.
After clicking on "update EPG" I recieve this error:

I *think* the first 3 error boxes you listed are normal for a new installation of NPVR 1.5.28. It just means that the directories weren't set yet in the registry, and thus they are being set to the locations listed. Perhaps sub will update the messages to not seem like errors.

The last error in your first post is due to the fact that the installation routine starts the NRECORD service, so you don't need to start it again.

As to the error in your second post, please post logs (see sticky at the top of the support forum please).

Also, what had you done before you clicked "Update EPG"? Had you actually defined a valid EPG data file yet?

It also doesn't appear that you've added any channels yet (though it's hard to tell as your screen capture doesn't show much) - in NPVR you add channels first, then link them to an EPG source.
