Girder Events

Hi,

I am looking for a solution... I have a setup of Girder and NR, I use another pvr at the moment, which I had to pay for... Anyway,

What I need is for someform of feedback to girder, when the state of the software changes. i.e. from play to fwd, or rwd, or stop or pause. etc, etc.

As far as you know whould this be possible? or is there some form of plugin which could do this?

My primary use is for changing the play button to pause when the video is playing and vise versa.

Any ideas, welcome!

I heard GBPVR DOES transmit Girder events... I am still looking for

a) a list!
b) a way to teach the event to Girder!

(I don't care about controlling external equipment, I just want to know if i can capture channel names, numbers etc. and send them to my LCD or if I can capture two-digit channel numbers and go to the channel WITHOUT having to press enter... maybe with a delay or something)

If you have the Girder channel changer selected, then it sends channel change events to girder, but thats all. I dont have the messages format handy, but it has been described in the past.

yes I found it - it COULD be used (at least to show channel number on LCD or even name IF I have the compete list preset in Girder) but it's rather limited yet
(and I think it gives an extra delay when I switch channels)
