I scheduled 3 recordings last nite, all on ABC, 1 hour each, all perfect this AM. About 5 gigs per hr. Plays back fine in media player. This weekend hope to try it on the road.

Very Cool, and no crash like the ArcSoft TM that came with the Diamond/ATI USB Tuner. A great little USB QAM Tuner for $50 US, but Windows 7 sometimes doesn't play well with older software and I've been a slow adapter since mastering XP. Now have to create another file for Ann Arbor Mich expecting good results.

I am having problems with the channel setup. Instructions in this thread say to "Once you have an XMLTV file with your epg data in it, go to the Channels screen in settings. Point your first channel to the XMLTV file, then map the rest using Bulk Map." I have the XMLTV file but when I go to the Channels screen in settings everything is blank. There is no first channel to select. What am I missing. Thanks in advance for any help.

Nevermind. Figured it out. You have to go to Device Setup and add you first channel manually.

When I go to Settings -> Channels the screen is empty. If I click on <Update EPG> a program fault occurs. I think my problem is that NPVR cannot find the xmltv.xml file that I created using mc2xml.exe. When I tried to use the UpdateEPG.bat file, things got worse. How do I tell NPVR where to look for the xmltv.xml file or where should I put it so it is found?

Also, is there support for Schedules Direct yet? I know support was to be added in the future, but I don't know if the future is here yet from when it was referenced to be in the future. Sorry, I hope you got my question.

Are you trying to set up digital or analogue channels? The procedure is quite different...

My video source is an antenna that receives over-the-air digital broadcast channels. Looking at the file xmltv.xml that was generated by mc2xml.exe, it seems to be correct for the callsign and channel numbers in my area.

Have you read the instructions here? http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...FirstSteps
