Missing subtitles on NMT

When I'm playing a divx file on my NMT (with of course the native player of the NMT, mono), there are no subtitles (.srt file). I do get the subtitles using the mvp server of gbpvr, and I believe it used to work for npvr too.

I dont think the app playes any active part in subtitles on the NMT. I think the NMT just requests the SRT file from the web server when it's playing from a web server, and if its returned then it'll show them.

Some time ago some users reported the .srt files disappearing from the PC when playing these type of files with the NMT using gbpvr. You solved it, so I figured there must be something you're doing to get those subs on the NMT. Since it's working fine with gbpvr, I assumed there must be something broken in npvr.

You could try running the recording server in a command prompt (nrecord.exe RUN) to see if you see if it receives a request from the NMT for the .srt file.

This is one of the problems I figured could occur because NPVR doesn't provide the long filename. Maybe try shortening the name to 8.3 format.

Yep, that's solves it. So I guess it's time for a new wish: the support for long filenames on the NMT.
