Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a pixelview TV@P7000 card which apparently uses the Roslyn/blackbird chip and I noticed on the front page that it states GB-PVR supports the card. So I'm wondering if anyone has experience of the card and if so how well is it supported in GB-PVR i.e can I use the remote to control GB-PVR?
Thanks in advance.

I dont think I've heard of anyone that has tried it. The last release (10 days ago) added support for the blackbird architecture cards. On website I'd seen the 'Prolink PlayTV@P7000' listed as being based on the blackbird architecture. I've not personally tested it, but it should work.

It you're looking for a new card, I'd recommend going with a either a Hauppauge PVR250/PVR350 or ProVideo PV258/259 card.

I've just had a quick search now, and there seems to be a few websites mentioning it being based on the blackbird design. I was almost starting to doubt it. It seemed to too cheap.

The reason I am looking at the prolink its £20-25 cheaper than the pvr250. I think I'll just wait a bit and see if someone else buys and tries [Image: biggrin.gif]

I posted a request over at myhtpc forums to a user to test gb-pvr with a pixelpro P7000 and he has reported that he cannot get it to work so far. So I have ordered a pvr 250 to be on the safe side and hope to be joining you lot in using gb-pvr in the next couple of days, thanks for your help.

Yes, the first user to try with a PixelView P7000 is going to need to add a few lines to the direct.ini file.

Ah that would explain my not being able to get it work with my P7000. If you let me know what the lines for the direct.ini file are I will give it a go again.

Hi skeltonl. Start by pasting a new section into the direct.ini file

[Pixelview TV@P7000]
BLACKBIRD=1
CONEXANT=1
FILTER_CROSSBAR=ProVideo 2388x Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=ProVideo 2388x Video Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=ProVideo 2388x Tuner
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=ProVideo 2388x TvAudio
FILTER_ENCODER=ProVideo 2388x MPEG Encoder
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_I2S_OUT=I2S
PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=656
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input

You'll then need to find the appropriate names to replace those in the FILTER_... lines above. Here are some threads that have talked about finding the names in the past. Email me if you want me to help you through it.

These names are also usually listed in the .inf file that is included with the driver installation files. I tried to download the drivers from the P7000, but couldn't find them on the net.
