When watching a channel that has H.264 video and HE-AAC sound, it gets out of sync after a while, the audio is ahead of the picture it seems. A glance at the end of NextPVR.log shows that reference clock is set to MPEG1 Audio Renderer, is this correct?

I'm not really sure. Can you see if this helps?

I am having very serious (seconds) sync problem with .33 with LiveTV and my HDPVR and this patch did not help. It occurs when I rewind twice, it starts fine but gets worse and worse. When I let it play it seems ok.

Yes it did help, and I can now switch audio trach while watching a show. The only thing I wish for now is a keyboard shortcut to toggle audio stream so I don't have to get up and use the mouse.

To be honest, at this point I'm not sure what to suggest. I'm keeping a close eye out for other posts reporting this same problem (since I've definitely made changes in that area), and I'll try to assess from other feedback.

I could give you a patch, which adds a setting in config.xml to force it to use the audio renderer the way it did prior to .33, which at least gives you way to work around it until we find the cause?

Since most of my use video viewing is on the PCH this isn't a high priority, but if it isn't too much effort and you have time, this setting could confirm that the .33 changes are indeed causing the problem.

Help - my wife has stopped talking to me - why did you have to mess with it (her words to me - not me to you Sub)

Sound is going completely out of sync audio is leading video by a second or more.

I have tried the above patch which helped on the 2 main muxes, but on the other 3 which are still on low power there is no difference. This is the first time since going to NPVR that this problem has occurred. In GBPVR I always had to set Force Audio Time Sync to true to get synchronization.

It would seem that 1.5.33 is having problems when the signal is glitchy getting resynchronised.

Also I am having both micro and major glitching (sometimes until total loss of sound) as in earlier versions - but now disabling all but the stream in use (MPEG Audio) does not help.

<PreResumeDelay>400</PreResumeDelay> Could increasing this new value help in any way?
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

I'm seeing much of the same problem as Lao Pan, some MPEG1 channels keeps sync fine and all HE-AAC channels also. But most MPEG1 channels drift out of sync, also on playback. Haven't investigated AC3 well enough to conclude yet.

This could save my marriage Big Grin

Some further info:
Even on BBC1 which generaly is OK, If I switch on the kitchen light (40w flourecent) Video stalls for half a second - Audio doesn't - switch on cooker hood same happens Audio is now over a second ahead of Video and stays like this untill a restart of live TV - even in time shift the problem still occurs.
Recordings appear OK
Looks as though once live TV or timeshift starts there is no reference between Video and Audio - Even the bad chops to adverts can cause it.
