Hi Martin
Just a quick question. I have noticed that if you have a device that is not switched on and then you turn on the pc, sharehelper2 does not mount the shares that are under the one that is turned off. It all depends on the order you have the mounts in sharehelper.
Is there a way for sharehelper2 to ignore the error and then mount the next lot of shares underneath.
thanks dave

Upload your Sharehelper logs from the NPVR log folder and I will have a look

Hi Martin
Been away a lot lately so sorry for not getting back.
Here are to logs. Logs1.rar has the mounts with all popcorns on and the second (logs2.rar) has the mounts with the a200 turned off. You will see in the second that the mounts stop at a200.
Any thoughts?
Thanks Again

Thanks the logs helped, I have updated the file in post 1, hopefully this will work for you. In case you don't know, if you ever need access to a share that was off when ShareHelper starts, you can restart the service.

Thanks Martin
I go away a lot so it some times takes me a while to get back.
I have just tried it and it works like a charm. Well done!!!!
The only reason I was playing with this was I was trying to share my bluray drive on my PC.
The bluray Drive now shows up and displays the vob files (dvd disc) but when i try to play them it falls right out of NPVR. The logs say can't find file
I was trying to see if I could get the dvd's to work from my computer now that sub has put in daemon tools again.
I attached the logs just if you wanted to look.
Thanks again for the excellent job!!

Hi dave.t ShareHelper is designed to allow you to access remote drives and not to allow remote machines connect to you. However even then there are a few issues in sharing DVDs

- NPVR does't support VIDEO_TS or ISO format files like GB-PVR yet
- NPVR doesn't stream VOB files so they can't be played individually
- Sharing commericial DVD may not be possible because of CSS

Thanks Martin
I wished I asked earlier. I was able to play a dvd direct from the popcorn, but not via NPVR as you said above.
I will have to wait until the support is done.
Thanks again for your time and effort

trying to get thins setup on my w7 x64 for some testing.....I am getting the following error in the event log when I try to start the service:

Missing keyDataDirectory

The install log for sharehelper2 is fine. I am using the same .xml file that is being used on my other machine (xp sp3) which works there with sharehelper1.

You are up late tonight UJB. Did you add a hardcoded HKLM\Software\NPVR registry key for some reason? I could see this causing a problem.

If not you will get this error when the directory HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR\DataDirectory doesn't exist.

Thanks....key was in both places....removed from the non-wow64 node and all is well.
