One can right click to choose a different audio stream, but how does one set it so it stays put? It just defaults everytime one goes back.

Or is the a scan cache in NPVR one can edit to get rid of the unwanted streams?

I assume this is the same issue I had with narrative and "normal" streams in some UK broadcast channels. In this case Sub managed to sort it so it picked the non narrative one, but there are examples (well, at least one) of channels which broadcast 2 non narrative audio streams in the UK and I dont think there's any nice way to select the one you want other than right click with the mouse. As you say, that wont remember anything and it'll just select the one it wants next time you view the channel. In GBPVR you could edit the scan.cache to chose the audio pid you wanted, but in NPVR you cant, so as it stands I dont believe this is possible.

At the moment it always defaults to the first audio language in the channel. For now the only way to change audio streams is to explicitly select them with the mouse.

I've already got an item on my to-do list to support a preferred audio language setting, and a key to toggle between the audio options available.

I think you're the first person to actually ask about it though, so it hadnt made it very high up the priority list.

It always records all the streams associated with a channels, including multiple languages.

Hi,
I've got exactly the same problem... Can't I modify any of the scan scheme xml files and swap the order of the channel audio streams? In Spain the DVT always shows up in dual language (English-Spanish), and its annoying not to be able to swap them with the remote!
BTW, the right click functionality simply closes the TV screen and goes back to the menu. I can't even change it using the mouse, haven't found that option yet.
Thanks!

There is a setting in Config.xml, <ContextMenuOnRightMouseButton>true</ContextMenuOnRightMouseButton>, if set to true you get the menue by right-clicking, else it acts as Back.

As we have some channels that broadcast both 2-ch MPEG1 and 5.1 AC3 it would be nice to be able to toggel between them with the remote.

Looks like the dual audio stream feature should start becoming a high priority! Smile
More and more movies and TV channels are implementing this feature... Specially in multilingual countries (i.e. all Europe)!

I actually had it on my "little list of bugs" thread on the 1.5.31 version. (in the wishlist section)
So +1 on this.

In my case I have two streams with same language but different encodings, MPEG Audio and AC3. I would like an option to select a preferred encoding, in my case AC3 whenever it is available. Hope that goes hand-in-hand with what is already planned.
