If no one else is able I will re-install 1.5.33 on Saturday (wife at work all day) for testing - but will have to revert to 1.5.31 before Merlin + X Factor or I am dead
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

I can get logs from live TV that has stuttering audio if that's what's wanted - I'm running 1.5.33 as my live system. Problem is things have improved for me since 1.5.31 but i've also swapped motherboard so have gone from realtek to some VIA (both optical spdif out) audio which I wonder if has something to do with my improvements.

Sorry this took me a while. Started on a channel I knew was bad and of course the audio was fine. Flicked to the next channel, then back to where I started and the audio was very glitchy.

Re-installed v1.5.33 + latest patches (used unmanaged from this thread)
Cleared logs - ran NPVR, watched BBC1 (DVB-T full power mux) after a while video drifts out of sinc.
Changed to Sky3 (DVB-T reduced power mux) within a few seconds video is way out of sinc.
Logs Attached

This is with ffdshow tryout 3611 latest Realtek driver 05/11/10.
Also tried Realtek direct show and default directshow renderers with no improvement.
I have tried with AC3 filter (added in config for MPEG1) which was perhaps better on BBC1 but still well out of sinc on the low power muxes but could not get it to sound how I wanted (no Dolby Pro logic decoding)

v1.5.31 keeps perfect sinc and has no glitching if you only have one audio codec enabled so I will reinstall this for now.

Polite Bump

Hi Sub
I know you are a busy man, but have you had any thoughts on these problems (there seems to be quite a few threads on similar audio glitches - scratchiness and out of sinc audio / video) with 1.5.33

I would love to be able to start using the latest version (I have gone back to 1.5.31 again) but out of sinc audio / video is a bit of a show stopper on large screen - NPVR is now our only way of watching TV (UK Freeview)

Thanks

This should put it back to how it was in 1.5.31.

Installed 1.5.33 + Latest Patches + Above Patch

Using Arcsoft Video Codec + ffdshow for audio mpeg, ac3 disabled

Tested for about 30 mins on sky3 (normaly the crapiest signal) - no audio problems and perfect sinc - in fact there wern't even any video glitches, which there always have been even in GBPVR - unless the very heavy rain this morning was blocking co-channel interferance!

At least I am now able to use latest version without fear of attack from the other end of the couch Big Grin

Now how to get ac3 working before HD Freeview Cards arrive - month or two yet.
