Audio cutting out on live TV

Anyone know why I would be getting glitchy audio that cuts out randomly while watching live TV? This only happens with live TV, when watching recordings, the audio is fine.

What audio is used on the channels in question? MPEG1 layer 2, or AC3?

Looks like AC3.

If you set the other audio decoders to 'disabled' in the settings screen, does the problem persist?

Looks like it goes away when the other decoders are disabled. I just noticed this happens to channels with mpeg audio also, which goes away with all other decoders disabled as well.

There is a change in the next release which should hopefully fix this.

Hi,

Yup, looks like if I disable AC3 then MPEG audio is fine, no glitching. So far anyways.

At first this seemed to be fixed with the latest update, but now I notice it is still happening. This time I seem to notice more of a scratchiness from time to time that is turns to a definite cut out every now and then.

Edit: I was messing with FM radio, and there it is cutting out really bad too.

I'm having a similar problem. But when I switch to Live TV, the channel audio works for about 10 seconds and then goes off. Changing channels with the channel up/down has no effect, but if I go back to the guide and pick a different channel, the audio works again for another 10 seconds and then goes off.

I have not tried watching recorded TV because I just installed NPVR for the first time, and I haven't recorded anything yet.
