johnsonx42 Wrote:As to queue related functionality, the only thing I'd really like to see in your plugin is the ability to watch a video from the instant queue; I'm happy to do all queue management from my desktop PC.
whurlston - I also like to do all my queue management on a PC but it would be great to be able to pull my instant queue up through your plugin (to be honest I would use that the most).
This looks great by the way! I like the look/layout way better than the win7mc plugin. Like everyone else, I'm eager to see your next release. Thanks.
Help! When I run the update with limit set to 499 it works but once I take the limit out or use 599 the update crash, below are the results any help would be great.

I have been through this thread several times and I have tried all of the fixes here(which may be part of my problem). I cannot get the nexflix plugin to work. The streamerUpdater seems to update 500 titles but I receive the "NetFlix.updater has stopped working" message and the only option is to close the program. The Netflix.db3 seems to be updated as its size is 38kb.
If I click on NetFlix in NPVR I get the error message in the attached error.txt file.
I think that I have updated all of the dotnet files- this is the only box that I have wind 7 on and I am still a bit weary from trying to understand it. I am not sure that I have all of the files in thier correct locations ( either in the Program dir or the users directory).
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It looks like the Netflix server is closing the connection on you. I may need to add a delay between the calls. I'll look into it as soon as I can.

I'm using the default skin using version 1.5.33, once I run the 499 limit I can view 68 movins in NPVR but that is as far as I get. I'm not running a MS firewall or any firewall on my system so that is one less thing to look at while testing the update.
I saw the connection closing as well and it is running on port 20000 so I can assume that is eeh corrrect port as well?

I am using the default skin.
NEVERMIND.....well sort of nevermind. I have managed to get the plug in to work and I may have resolved the problem with the updater. Does the updater require an active WatchInstant account? If so, that is why I am not seeing any titles being downloaded and why the updater crashes.
I just realized that our accunt did not include the WatchInstant access as I could watch movies directly off the Netflix site.
Edit #2 - I had tried running from dos prompt with -999 and with nothing. Tried again with -499 and I was able do complete a download. CHecked it out with in npvr an presto- a bunch of movie titles - clicked on one - spawned an install of silverlight and was able to watch a movie. Almost complete success. It seems that silverlight completely took over my machine and I was unable to find any controls to stop it - other than thru task manager.
Cool
Is "StreamIt from Netflix" working on (or intended for use by) either NMT's (M34A) or MVP's ???
If not what other options are there for Netflix over NMT -- I hope for using Netflix "Watch Instantly" on TVs via NMT -- any working GBPVR/NPVR solutions? any non-GB/NPVR solutions?
It's impossible for this netflix plugin (or any other) to work on an NMT or MVP. It depends on Microsoft Silverlight which isn't supported by either player.
The only option I've heard of for Netflix on an NMT is a media server program called "PlayOn". I've not tried it, as I have no NMT, but I've read it's a bit hit-and-miss on NMT's.
