StreamIt from Netflix (Alpha NPVR version)

Canadian users are definitely in the plans. It seems that the selections for Canadians are different from those available here in the US. I'll see what I can do about differentiating them.

Hi whurlston, I am about to do some testing of Netflix.ca too so anything you need help with let me know, you've got a months.

I have 2 PCH NMTs but understand from the threads above that this will only work on the computer and not the NMTsss. Unfortunate but understandable...

@cooper43 I am testing the current A100 firmware beta which supposedly fixes PlayOn support allowing Netflix access from NMT's. PlayOn is not cheap ~$3 month but with whurlston's plugin it might not be too bad

I'll beta NPVR with StreamIt on an A-110 with the new firmware... fingers crossed, excited to have it working.

@Martin, I was planning on talking to you about it. I forgot about PlayOn. If we can figure out how to pass the movie ID to it, that might be a good way to go.

@cooper43. Try limiting it to 499 titles and see if it gives the same error. I might need a day or two to refamiliarize myself with my code and then I can add some more logging.

I'm going to have to add a setting for this. Everything in my code goes to netflix.com

Sure, how do I limit the load size? I don't see a configuration file... Is it possible that its crashing because my Netflix membership with with netflix.ca and this is downloading from netflix.com? I have never logged into netflix.com

Yeah, I'm suspecting that's the issue. I'll look at the code tomorrow and have some test builds for you to try. It might take a few builds over the next few days to get it right.

To limit the load size, place the following in a text file named "update.bat" in the same folder as the updater and run the batch file:

some other guys were having the same problem with the netflix updater a couple weeks back (page 13 of this thread I think); I don't think it has anything to do with canada, just something that changed at netflix and broke the updater.

Great, I created and ran the .bat file and it seems to be working... though I'm sure its loading with the US content. Let me know when you have a Canadian version to try and I'll be as responsive as I can.
