Been using GBPVR for years, just started dipping my toes in the NPVR pool. When I scan on my QAM tuners, it only finds a few unencrypted channels and none of the ones I care about. On GBPVR or TSReader Lite, it finds everything expected. The tuners are a 1600 & 2250. Same results on both cards. The expected channels are listed here: http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/lin...up_3785843 (Select "Verizon FiOS" for the provider). I attached my log from NPVR's scan & a cache fie from a previous GBPVR scan. One interesting thing is that the sub-channels that Verizon users are mostly 5 digits. It seems like NPVR can find the ones with 3 digit sub-channels. (When I did the scan on GBPVR, I probably had a custom qam.ini to restrict it to the channels I watch to save time.)

It really seems like NPVR can't handle an SID of 5 digits. It is able to find every station with a 1,2 or 3 digit sub-channel, but none of the ones with a 5 digit sub-channel. I even attached an antenna & tried the ATSC tuner for OTA. It was able to receive a bunch of channels, but all of them have a 1 digit SID.

Does anybody else have Verizon FiOS with 5 digit SID's and get QAM channels?

that was my conclusion too after looking at your scans and logs. when NPVR gets to a channel that was shown to have 5-digit SID's in the GB-PVR scan.cache, it just acts like there's nothing at all there; it doesn't throw an error, just goes on to the next channel.

I didn't say anything yesterday because it really looks like a problem only sub can investigate further. But I do concur with your analysis.

edit: sub may be able to fix it just by looking at the code, but it might help if you use GB-PVR and do a short FullTS recording of one of the problem channels and make the file available on the 'net somewhere. AFAIK sub hasn't provided any means to do FullTS with NPVR.

I'm pretty sure its not related to the sid length. I think that is just a coincidence.

johnsonx42 is correct to suggest that I might need sample full ts from one of the channels that doesnt show up. I'd then be able to run it up here in the debugger and take a look.

I didn't dissect my problem but when I first started using NPVR, I was able to all of my channels put out and I keep the database file because the last few months, with both my HDHR and 2250, I can't get all of the channels. I'll take a look to see if my problems are similar.

1 minute of FullTS would be great. This will likely be about 250MB or more.

FWIW, I have a couple of working QAM channels that have SID > 3 (##.####)
