QAM scan finds very few channels

Are you sure that .ts file was from the correct frequency? It found the two channels just fine for me.

I just looked at his original logs; that frequency was scanned fine by GB-PVR:

I played it on CH15 in my ATSC signal generator. It's not on CH15 for him, so you're looking in the wrong place in his logs.

Yep. For whatever reason, it appears the device is not locking onto any signal on CH73, so no data is delivered to NPVR, resulting in no channels in the scan results for this frequency.

I dont know if it'll help, but you can modify the file in 'C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\QAM' to replace the channel number (73=73,0,0) with a frequency (73=517250,0,0).

So what do I need to do to get NPVR to see those channels? What can I do differently in my scan? GBPVR, TSReader Lite can find the channels. I have the Hauppauge Tech Support QAM Scanner tool if output from that would help.

I know it isn't supported, but is there some way I can add a channel it does find in the scan and change the setting to a channel I found in the GBPVR scan?
