I was able to figure out why the updater is broken. I'll have a fix for it tomorrow. I swear, Netflix needs to write a book on how NOT to implement a developer API.

Any update? Is the goal for this release to work for Canadians? Ready to alpha test if you wish.
thanks, Steve

Here's an new build for the updater. I'm not sure if it will work in Canada or not but it fixes the issue of only being able to download 500 listings.
The Canadian API is apparently separate and has not been fully released yet. There is a workaround for Canadian users but I have to use a different API than I'm using now. I also need to change the plugin to use the netflix.ca instead of netflix.com

I've installed it and it seems to be downloading ok. Thanks.

Didn't realize I had to have IE auto login. (Didn't see that in setup instructions.)
Also didn't have the Data Services updates... thought I would have when I ran Microsoft Updates. (They make it fun don't they!)

Okay, that's working... but I only see the first 87 movies in their whole library. Does this show my watch instantly queue?

Hello. 1.5.33 NPVR
So I followed this long thread and got the files from post 42 95 and 153. No movies are listed. When I run Streamit.netflix.update.exe at the command prompt I receive the message: Code: The data directory does not exist - I am in Canada trying to use netflix Canada. I did see above that the latest fix may have broken use in Canada? To confirm file locations in case I messed it up, I have the netflix.db3 file in the path (xp): C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NPVR\Plugins\StreamIt The timestamp on the db3 file has not changed. I have the DLL and PDB file in \NPVR\Plugins\StreamIt as well as just \NPVR.

Sorry guys, I've been AWOL lately. I have the whole weekend off though so I plan to have a rollup release out by Sunday night since even I am now confused as to which patch is needed from where.
It will also include some changes related to the Netflix API to hopefully get more reliable data and Canada support. I'm still trying to work around issues with the API on this though. Beyond that, all new features will be on hold while Martin and I work on getting NMT support going. |
