blader_se Wrote:Yes, I have seen a great implementation of that once, but it took all texts directly from a database, so I guess it's hard to implement it for the wiki.

I suggest that we just add new pages. This is not exactly what you wanted, but you can still get everything expanded to a single page if we add a wiki trail, and a publish button on the first plugin page.

You can get a feel for what I mean if you go to ConfigurationNotes and pretend that you there have a publish-button to push

I have an implementation we are using in an in-house project that does it with static text (no database needed .. although we do use one for the initial page creation). The technique uses javascript and named DIV's. If you like I could provide a working example ...

I'm attaching a .zip with an example for selective hide/show of static text sections. The example has more verbage than the minimum needed ... but I was clipping it from a beta app rather than writing from scratch & was too lazy to trim it to the bone.

There is more than one type of usage demonstrated in the example.

Finally, it may be that some portions are IE specific, as written. I haven't checked into the possibility as our organization has configured all our potential users at IE version 5 or higher. See the readme.txt file for further alibies & disclaimers ;-)

The move of the wiki is now slowly on the way. You may or may not have noticed that some pages are marked as "Don't update this page,...". Those are the pages that I regard as moved.

If you are gong to create a new page for a plugin or skin, please do it on the new wiki, which offers a template.

You are also welcome to move existing plugin pages.

As always, if you need any help, just mail me.

is there anyway to have multiple pages for one plugin? my videos instructions for everything feature is quite long, and annoying to display on one page.

Sure, just add more pages (with a reasonable naming strategy ;-).

I'd implement it with wikitrails like this; On your primary page (say Plugin/MyPlugger), make a list to the subpages you'd like to have:
Code:
The MyPlugger plugin has more information in the following sections:
*[[Plugin/MyPluggerUsing]]
*[[Plugin/MyPluggerConfigure]]
*[[Plugin/MyPluggerHistory]]

Then on the bottom of each page (including your primary page) I'd put a trail link for easy navigation:
Code:
<|[[Plugin/MyPlugger]]|>
See QuickStart section

Now, as a bonus you could get it all in a printable/downloadable format by going to the page MyPlugger?action=publish (again take a look at QuickStart?action=publish) for an example.

Reven, I don't think blader has everything moved over yet to the new wiki site. Items like usernames and passwords may not be setup yet.

Oops, I think I've fixed it now though..

Just for the record, my intention is that everything should work, just that I have not have time to copy everything yet.
