Live TV, no video, HD-PVR, please help

I'm still wrestling with this problem, and I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Standard definition channels seem to work, but most of our channels are HD. Surprisingly, if I record an HD channel, it plays back with video.

I've tried the ffdshow decoder, which worked well in GB-PVR, as well as the Cyberlink and ArcSoft decoders, all with no success.
The attached logs should indicate that I tuned to an SD channel, which displayed video, then I stopped and selected an HD channel.

What H.264 decoder do you have selected?

For that experiment, it was the CyberLink Video Decoder (PDVD10).

Its somehow decoder related, but not sure exactly how yet.

Can you post the logs showing an attempt with the ArcSoft Video Decoder selected for the H.264 decoder?

Can you create a c:\temp directory, set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\LogSlipFile=1 (DWORD) in the registry, then repeat the problem and post the c:\temp\reader.log file?

Did you go into the decoder settings (the little "..." button to the right of decoder choice in settings) and make sure that DXVA is selscted?
