I was using this tool when I was trying to use my PC for playback as well as record, but have thrown in the towel on playback. I'm now using the MCE remote to control an NMT. How can I undo the mapping here so that my PC isn't responding to the MCE remote? Do I just delete the whole registry entry?
Tks!

Using provided information I found in this thread I made a small utility for editing MCE Remote mappings.
You can download it from this message attachment or following link

for a few threads back, blasting in win7/vista needs to be asked by a service or it won't respond..

in vista+, only services can talk to the remotes!

so now i use ir server suite to handle all my remote and blasting needs....works great..Smile
it has built in help to disable mce from seeing remote keys so no double presses..

the no-software trick still works but en't provide blasting, so it's an easy way to use remote for input only...
so Nice Job Darko...handy util...Smile might put it on first post if it looks ok..

otherwise i'd say get IRSS and you'l be done with it..Smile blasting, learnability and all the necessary features included..

I don't believe there is an IR Code for the TV_Power button as it is a programable key that is supposed to be able to learn a command from say your tv remote to turn on the tv.

And as a side note, I can't wait to try this out. I've been using event ghost and for years but if the system gets restarted I have a hard time getting it to work without manually starting it back up. The program launches but just doesn't map the key presses. I can't believe I missed this thread before.

Does anybody have a list of the correct commands for NPVR ? I have some problems with ex subtitles, the "menu" button when playing dvd.
Would like to see entire list of all keyboard shortcuts in NPVR

Blades,
This link to the wiki should give you what you need.
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manua...dReference

And I successfully remapped several keys on my test machine. At first it did not change but I then cleared windows media center under "programs and features" and then it worked. Tonight I'll import the registry settings to the production box. This is a great find, I love it. No third party application needed.

Also, does anybody know if the xbox 360 universal remote works the same way. I found it hard to find one of the grey MCE remotes when I was purchasing one for my client PC and was wondering if that was its replacement.

I believe the XBOX media remote works as an MCE-like remote (with some different keys that can probably be remapped). See this:

http://www.mediacenterguides.com/advancedremotes

Note that the XBOX remote does not come with a receiver. I got an ebay MCE remote with receiver that works great:
