NPVR Channel Numbering with XMLTV source

That file doesnt show regularly xmltv channel numbers. It has an ID which is numeric, but that isnt where most xmltv sources place their channel numbers. Instead they usually have multiple <display-name> entries per channel, with one being numeric only.
This 'id' attribute is usually only used to connect the programs to the channels.

OK Sub, sooooo, now of course I understand this next statement is not helpful, (and it is not intended in any way to be unhelpful) it is just so I understand. This did work in GB-PVR. Exactly the same .xml with the channel id's that you have just seen. But even though for some reason it did work in GB-PVR the implication is that this is just not going to work in NextPVR in the same way. I need to get my xml channel id's to follow this rule: multiple <display-name> entries per channel, with one being numeric only. many thanks steeb

The <display-name> is definitely the usual method I've seen for specifying the channel number, but the attached patch adds support for numeric 'id' fields being used for the channel number. Give it a go in an empty database and let me know how you get on.

And the answer is  Superb, can't test it blasting as Mrs Steeb utilising the PVR150  Why does she have to watch TV on the PCH when I am playing  hit OK after selecting source and all channels numbered as per .xml this was such a little bug of mine but it really bothered me! Thanks so much, I hope this helps out some others using XMLTVGUI and with an STB they need to blast correct numbers at etc. fantastic and much appreciated steeb
