Default Guide still appears if watching Recordings.

I like the new 3.4 and have tried to make it default wherever possible but the standard TV guide still pops up when F1 key or MCE Remote GUide button are pressed whilst a Recording is playing. Is it possible to get 3.4 to appear instead?

no that's not possible at the moment, maybe in a later release.

Is this something you even have control over alibert, because I'd expect the <DefaultTVGuide> config.xml setting to make it all work (but it doesn't so maybe a sub-bug):

Hi,

the tv listings plugin can't be displayed during video playback, because it doesn't implement the ivideowindow interface - so it's currently a limitation of the plugin.

It looks like sub fixed what imilne linked above, if you've modified your config.xml to use TV Listings as the default, pressing Guide on your remote (F1) won't bring up the the NPVR guide anymore.

smajor what does it do for you when you press F1 while watching liveTV?

For me it flashes up some form of guide so fast I can't see which one it is & then locks up entirely to the stage I have to ctrl alt del to kill it but it also locks the recording service in such a way that I can't kill it at all apart from a full PC reboot.

Same here - when TV Listings is set to default F1 gives a flash of the standard TV Guide during both Live TV and playing a recording [first press only then no effect at all]. Didn't crash for me though. For now I've set <DefaultTVGuide> back to TV Guide.

Pretty much the same, but it doesn't lock. If I press ESC, I can exit.
