Me? I don't intimate anything except my wife , and I don't say anything about NPVR/GB-PVR before sub... I don't recall anything about that device, but if you saw me say anything about that before sub, it's only because you didn't see sub say it first and then I repeated it.

oh, I get it... as in sub had already suggested it before. probably written "before, sub." I would have read it correctly. Mostly though, I was just trying to be funny.

I'm running gbpvr on my Windows Server 2003 system, which is also my shared file server. It works out well in my home theater because I could place it behind a book case, which is also hiding the subwoofer about two feet below the server.

Anyway, will the NPVR work on my Win Server 2003 system? I know it's supposed to be more similar to Vista but uses an XP style GUI. Has anyone else used NPVR on a server?

plenty of people run NPVR on server OS's, including 2003.

server 2003 is not similar to Vista though. 2000 is Windows 5.0, XP is 5.1, and Server 2003 is 5.2 (as is XP 64-bit) - those OS's are all in the same family. The new OS's (Vista/2008 & 7/2008R2) are the new Windows 6.0/6.1 family.

That's good to know. I didn't want to upgrade if I would have "odd problems" like those with XP. Guess I'll be updating to NPVR soon. Thank you
