Thanks for the comments.

I do intend to get it working with vertical menus, because it's my preferred layout style too. I'm not 100% sure what I need to do to implement it though, so any hints from the sub-meister would be very handy (if he's reading).

I haven't actually done any programming since before Christmas due to family commitments, but I'm hoping to get back to it all fairly soon.

For vertical menu, you might be able to get some ideas from the Next Blue skin, since that has user selectable horizontal or vertical menu structure. Vertical is my preference as well. In fact, I'd be happy with a copy of the GBPVR default skin in NPVR.

Yep, seems to be not running for some reason. I'll investigate why at the weekend if I get the chance.

Ok, a lot has changed in the latest version of NPVR, so it's going to take a bit of time to make SubMenu properly compatible with it again.

In the meantime, you can trick it into working by doing the following:

- rename Skin\Default\Menu\Horizontal.xml to Menu.xml
- rename Skin\Default\Menu\Vertical.xml to Vertical.xml.backup

I've also no idea how it'll behave with skins other than the default.

I'll try to make the various fixes it needs and also implement video insets and vertical menu support too (thanks to sub), along with making it deal with all the skin edits it needs automatically.

I've posted a new version of SubMenu.

* Various changes to make the plugin compatible with NPVR 2.0.3
* The plugin can now be enabled or disabled using NPVR Settings
* Added support for custom background images

http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...in.SubMenu

Note that it still won't work with vertical menus (because I haven't programmed that bit yet). Let me know what you think of its background image support. I plan to do some more with it when I've time (eg animated transitions) but I won't be providing any sample images. I'd love to see what others come up with though.

Why, what's wrong with it?

I don't - ironically enough - actually have it installed, but that's because I'm still using GBPVR :o
